Job Summary:

This position is responsible for providing support and assisting a team of Producers while maintaining a liaison between the producers and marketing team. The main goal is to streamline and assist producers in the process of new business marketing and renewals.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Take calls and prepare correspondence on behalf of producers and ensure they are kept up-to date
  • Prepare reports and presentations/proposals
  • Assist in preparing applications, supplemental questionnaires, and/or any vital documents
    required by the various insurance companies
  • Upon the sale of an account/policy, assist in the onboarding process (issue invoice, binders,
    premium finance notes, auto ID cards and generally, do “whatever it takes” to finish up the sale
    of the account/policy.)
  • Assist in responding to any inquiries from the carrier, producer and/or insured under the
    direction of the producers
  • Keep producers fully organized and informed of all-important activities/statuses on their
    accounts including being sensitive to potential problems and informing management as
    appropriate
  • Perform general administrative tasks (scanning, photocopying, filing, organizing, tasking, etc.);
  • Effectively communicate and explain policies to existing and potential new clients
  • Analyze clients’ current policies and identify appropriate coverage needs
  • Gather needed information to accurately make policy amendments.
  • Organizational skills and detail-oriented mindset
  • Possesses office time management skills ensures smooth flow of information to other departments
  • Attract new markets generates revenue for the team/company
  • Handles disputes and addresses any miscommunication issues amongst team and other departments

The Account Manager manages a book of commercial lines accounts and provides professional, courteous service to our clients and business partners. Provides a high level of support to Producers in obtaining, maintaining, and expanding business. May also be responsible for account rounding and the development of new business as appropriate and in accordance with standard practices, policies, and procedures.

  • Works closely with Producers and other personnel on all aspects of client service, marketing, and renewal while adhering to the company’s best practices and standard procedures
  • Oversees the preparation and implementation of all transactions, paperwork, and internal processing for assigned accounts
  • Acts as liaison between clients and insurance carriers to resolve escalated complex service issues that require policy interpretation and experience based judgment to resolve
  • Responsible for overall retention of accounts in assigned book of business
  • Develops new business from existing accounts and contributes to meeting departmental production goals. Identifies and follows-up on cross-selling opportunities when appropriate
  • Appropriately documents conversations with clients and carrier representatives and updates automated agency management systems when necessary. Ensures the accuracy of data in those systems
  • Attends industry related continuing education training and courses
  • Performs other duties and projects as assigned

General Description:

Assists Account Manager and Sales Executive in servicing and retaining of Commercial Accounts. Works to ensure that client retention goals are met by responding promptly to requests from Account Manager and Sales Executive. This position has had the last three employees promoted to Account Manager and is an excellent pipeline to further growth within the organization.

Major Responsibilities:

  •  Process certificates at the direction of the Account Manager or Sales Executive
  •  Follow up with Carriers for receipt of endorsements
  •  Review and process endorsements, invoicing where necessary and updating  ImageRight with the changes made by the endorsement.
  •  Processing some audits at the direction of the Account Manager
  •  Ordering Loss Runs
  •  Input initial applications in AMS 360
  •  Assist with spreadsheets and premium allocations on some accounts
  •  Policy setups for Client delivery
  •  Initial Policy checks, including policy forms, policy term, policy number, premium, commission, etc.
  •  Maintains a courteous and effective relationship with clients, co-workers, carriers, and other business contacts
  • Regularly shares knowledge and skills with others
  • Other projects as needed by the Account Manager or Sales Executive

Professional Developments:

  • Remains informed regarding industry information, new product information, legislation, coverage’s, and technology
  • Expected to further industry education through continuing education

Qualifications:

  •  Florida Property Casualty license (440)
  •  Eager to learn new concepts and further professional development

  • Compile, work, and maintain list of prospects and leads for agency’s targeted business
